Who this agreement is between
This agreement is between you and Nygtlyf Private Limited, a private limited company incorporated in India, which operates the NYGTLYF platform and the website at nygtlyf.com. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Nygtlyf Private Limited, and "you" means the person using the service.
By creating an account or using the platform you accept these terms. If you are below the age of eighteen, you may only use NYGTLYF with the knowledge and consent of a parent or lawful guardian, and that parent or guardian accepts these terms on your behalf.
What the service is
NYGTLYF provides an individual student with:
- An AI tutor that explains concepts and answers doubts step by step, pitched at the class and board recorded on the account.
- A learning path built from a starting diagnostic, which inserts prerequisite concepts where the evidence shows they are missing.
- Practice questions generated against specific weak sub skills, rather than drawn from a fixed question bank.
- Difficulty that adjusts within a practice session.
- Progress tracking expressed as concepts mastered, concepts flagged for review, difficulty level reached and study time.
Progress between concepts is gated by a mastery threshold. This means the service will, by design, decline to advance you to a concept while the evidence indicates the concept below it is not held. That is a feature of the service and not a fault in it.
What the service is not
We would rather state these clearly at the outset than have you discover them during a term.
- It is not a live human tutoring service. There is no person answering your doubts, and no undertaking that a person will review any particular explanation.
- It is not a guarantee of an academic outcome. We make no representation about marks, grades, ranks or admissions. Nothing on our website or in the platform should be read as such a promise.
- It is not an examination authority. Explanations are matched to a stated syllabus in good faith, but the syllabus, examination pattern and marking scheme are set by your board or examining body, not by us.
- It is not licensed to institutions. NYGTLYF is provided directly to individual students. We do not provide institute dashboards, class rosters or teacher oversight, and an account cannot be administered by a school or coaching institute.
- It is not uniform in depth across all subjects. Coverage is deepest in mathematics and science for Classes 8 to 12 and thinner elsewhere. The current state is published on the practice page.
Accounts and eligibility
- An account is personal to one student. Sharing login details, or using one account for several students, is not permitted and may result in suspension.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity that takes place under your account.
- The information you give at sign up, in particular class and board, must be accurate. It directly determines how explanations are written, so an inaccurate entry degrades the service you receive.
- Login details are sent to the email address given at sign up. If that address is wrong or inaccessible, we may be unable to give you access to the account.
- You may close your account at any time. Closure and data deletion are described in the privacy policy.
Linked parent accounts
A parent or guardian may hold a linked view of a student account. That view is limited to progress information: concepts mastered, concepts flagged for review, difficulty level reached, active study time, streaks and diagnostic outcomes.
It does not include the text of doubts asked, the explanations returned, individual wrong answers or the working behind them. This limitation is enforced technically and is not a preference. We will not remove it on request, on any plan, and our support team is not able to supply session contents to a parent.
A student can always see that a link exists, and can always see everything the linked account can see. Either side may ask for the link to be removed, and removal is visible to both.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to generate content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful or sexually explicit.
- Attempt to extract, scrape or systematically download generated explanations or questions in order to build or train a competing product or dataset.
- Use automated means to interact with the platform, including scripted question generation, other than through interfaces we provide for that purpose.
- Attempt to bypass usage limits, plan restrictions, the mastery gate or the parent visibility boundary.
- Probe, scan or test the security of the platform without our prior agreement, other than to report a genuine vulnerability to us in good faith.
- Resell, sublicense or otherwise commercially redistribute access.
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please report it through the contact form. We will acknowledge it and we will not pursue action against good faith research conducted without harming other users' data.
Academic integrity
NYGTLYF is built to make you able to do something, not to do it on your behalf. Explanations are structured as steps with reasoning, and generated practice exists specifically to test whether you can reproduce that reasoning unaided.
Using the service to complete work that your school, board or examining body requires to be your own unaided work may breach their rules, and that is a matter between you and them. We do not undertake to help you conceal such use, and mastery gating means that a student who only copies will not progress.
Using the service during an examination, or in any assessment where external assistance is prohibited, is not permitted.
Accuracy of explanations
Explanations, worked steps and generated questions are produced with the assistance of AI language models. They are checked against the scope of your stated syllabus before being shown, and they can still be wrong.
You should treat the platform as a very well informed study companion rather than as an infallible authority, and you should verify anything decisive against your textbook or teacher. We do not accept liability for an academic outcome that results from relying on an incorrect explanation, and we ask you to report errors, because reports are how the engine gets better.
Nothing generated by the platform is professional, medical, legal or financial advice.
Plans, billing and cancellation
- Current plan rates are shown at sign up and confirmed before any payment is taken. No card is charged without an explicit confirmation step.
- Paid plans renew for successive periods until cancelled. You may cancel at any time, and access continues to the end of the period already paid for.
- On cancellation the account moves to the free tier rather than being closed. Your ladder, mastery history and subject list are preserved. One subject stays fully active and the others become read only until you upgrade again.
- Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current paid period, so nothing is removed in the middle of a term you have planned around.
- On the Family plan, student accounts may be added or removed at any point without affecting the others.
- We may change plan rates. Where we do, existing subscribers are told by email before the change applies to their renewal, and are free to cancel instead.
- Payments are processed by a third party payment provider. We do not store card details.
The free tier
The free tier is a permanent tier rather than a trial with an expiry date. It includes one subject with the full ladder for it, the complete starting diagnostic, daily doubt solving subject to a limit, and generated practice subject to a daily cap.
We may adjust the limits that define the free tier as the service develops. We will not convert it into a time limited trial for accounts that were created on the basis that it is permanent.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep NYGTLYF available continuously, because the point of it is being there at the moment a doubt occurs. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and maintenance, provider incidents and faults will sometimes interrupt the service.
We continue to develop the platform. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn. Where we withdraw something that a paid subscriber materially relies on, we will tell them by email in advance.
Intellectual property
The platform, the concept ladder model, the engine that sequences and generates from it, the website, and the NYGTLYF name and logo are owned by us or licensed to us. Nothing in these terms transfers those rights to you.
You retain ownership of what you write into the platform, such as the text of your doubts and your working. You grant us the licence needed to process that content in order to provide the service to you, as described in the privacy policy.
Explanations and questions generated for you may be used freely for your own study. They may not be republished, redistributed, sold, or used to build or train a competing product or dataset.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, in particular where login details are shared, where automated access is used to extract generated content at scale, or where the platform is used to produce unlawful or abusive content.
Where the breach is not serious and can be fixed, we will contact you first rather than closing the account without warning. Where we close a paid account for a breach that is not your fault, we will refund the unused portion of the period.
Liability
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of opportunity, or for examination results, admissions outcomes or other academic consequences.
Where we are found liable, our total liability in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts having jurisdiction over the registered office of Nygtlyf Private Limited in Maharashtra will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of them.
Before starting formal proceedings, we ask you to raise the matter with us directly through the contact form. Most disputes are a misunderstanding about what the service undertakes to do, and those are quicker to settle in an email.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
How to reach us
Questions about these terms, billing, or the service itself should be sent through the contact form, selecting the topic that matches. Formal notices may be sent to the registered office of Nygtlyf Private Limited, the address for which is published on the contact page.
If we make a material change to these terms, we will tell you by email to the address on your account before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that point means you accept the revised terms.
